The city

This school is located in Cusco, one of the most historical and beautiful cities in Peru, and the capital of the Inca Empire, that stands out for its archaeological richness.

Cusco is located in the central and Southeast area of Peru. Its diversity and its changing landscapes and ecosystems are mainly associated with the Andes. In the city and its surroundings there are many Inca ruins that make Cusco the most turistic place of the whole country. The warmth of the people, traditional hospitality and true Peruvian identity, make learning an unforgettable cultural experience.




 


The school

The centre is a few minutes walk from the beautiful main square, the Plaza de Armas of Cusco, surrounded by many colonial buildings. The teachers of this centre use an interactive method of teaching based on learning through practice inside the classroom and also around town. They focus on improving the language ability of students through conversation, pronunciation, comprehension, grammar and reading. The teachers offer a variety of tasks and activities to help you learn Spanish more effectively.

The classes

You will be able to choose among different types of courses: standard (20 hours per week), half courses (10 hours per week), total immersion (with private teacher) and special (for travelling, healthcare, business or technical fields). There are also 4 levels of learning, from beginners to superior. There are few students per class and the teachers are highly qualified and experienced.

The accommodation

There are three possibilities for lodging in Cusco during the course: with a Peruvian host family, in a hostel and in a flat shared with other students. The accommodation with a family would be the best option for experiencing the Peruvian culture and it is also excellent for improving the language. The flat would be the ideal option if you want to have more independence and hostels give you the opportunities to enjoy your stay with tourists from all over the world.

Social and cultural activities

The shool also organises many social and cultural activities for free: a guided tour of the city, lectures about history and culture of Peru, Latin American movies, cooking classes, dancing lessons, quiz nights, free internet, book exchange, trips and excursions, etc.

Volunteer program

Those participants who complete a minimum of 1 week of Spanish, will have the opportunity of working in a volunteer program in different areas around the country. There are different projects to choose: with children, with secondary students, teaching sports, community projects, workshops, or giving grinds to poor chidren.
