INDIA: A WORLD OF POSSIBILITIES

India is a country that has always attracted lots of travellers for its beauty, its spirituality and its cultural richness. It is the world's 7th largest & biggest democratic country. There are more than 1000 regional languages but Hindi is the national language and English is spoken and understood by most of people. 80% Indian population follow the Hindu religion. What makes India unique is its cultural diversity as there are 28 states, and every state has its own language, culture, regional music, dance, food, geography, etc.
India offers an incomparable blend of cosmopolitan cities, quiet countryside locations, monasteries, temples, traditions and rituals, etc. Among the possible places to visit, we can mention the great Himalayas in the North, the beautiful beaches in the South, the impressive monuments like Tajmahal, Qutabminar, Khajuraho, etc.

Apart from cultural tourism, India is ideal for ecotourism as there are lots of nature reserves and many possibilities for hiking in its mountains. For those who are looking for peace and tranquility, there are many retreats and places where it is possible to practice yoga, meditation, and in general a more spiritual tourism.

Eco-Tourism in India is still at a very nascent stage, but for sure there are conscious efforts to save the fragile Himalayan Eco System and culture and heritage of the indigenous people, which is probably the largest concentration in the world.

Holiday Camping vis a vis Hotel accommodation is gathering momentum amongst the metropolis travellers. A plethora of holiday camping options are available in the Himalayan belt, where soft adventure tourism is packaged with holiday camping to create an acceptable eco-tourism product. Resorts tucked deep inside jungles offer tourists various activities like hiking, birdwatching, boat trips, etc.
